2019 Gown Trends

From London, Milan, Barcelona and New York’s bridal weeks, we bring you the latest trends for 2019. Not moving too far away from 2018 trends, Capes and Bows are still in! Last season’s trends for the aisle had a daintier touch, but this season, designers went for it–showcasing unapologetic, directional silhouettes that made a strong statement.

Nude/tattoo – White or nude tulle embellished with intricate embroidery or lace detailing, creating a sophisticated sheer “tattoo” effect on the skin.

Colour – 2019 gowns come not only in pastel tones, soft pink and blue, but also in bright and full nuances like red, purple and yellow.  The perfect choice for a trendy bride or a second wedding.

Twenties inspo – Fringes, low waists and sequins! In 2019 brides will wear linear and shiny gowns that may be flaunted also on other special occasions besides the wedding.

Exaggerated volumes – Flounces and multi-tiered tulle skirts are in.

The Sleeve – Long, fitted or gigot style, a perfect solution for early spring or late summer weddings.

Plunging V necklines – Necklines may vary to fulfil every need, from boat necklines to show off the shoulders or turtle necks to leave everything to the imagination.

Waistlines/belts – enhanced by a satin sash, a precious belt, or gorgeous brooch.

Bustier tops – lingerie or a wedding dress? Slip dresses. Fluid cuts and pyjama suits, dedicated to fashionable brides.

Layering – second skin jumpsuits, pants and miniskirts worn under flimsy lace, satin or tulle skirts add a contemporary allure.

Co-ordinates – skirt plus top or a suit. This wedding dress leaves classic designs aside and experiments with new styling solutions that are closer to daywear.

Detachable skirts – stunning silhouettes rocked the runway and brides all over the world want to take centre stage on their wedding day with similar styles. Brides will look amazing as they march down the aisle and then be instantly transformed to the party girl at reception time.
